About the prints

All prints are printed from an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 printer, using genuine Epson papers and inks. All prints are on Heavyweight Matte Paper. Lightfast ratings for prints under glass on this paper using Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks are at least 75 years (see for example PDF here). Print sizes

Two different paper sizes are available:

  • A4 (210 x 297mm = 8.3" x 11.7")
  • A3+ (also referred to as Super A3, 329 x 483mm = 13.0" x 19.0")

The actual size of the image on these sheets can be selected from the print size pulldown list for each image when it is in the cart. Original paper sizes are NOT trimmed down to match the image size, but are left as they are. Images are centred on the paper.

Image dimensions

Approximate image dimensions for prints offered are shown below.
Dimensions vary depending on the original aspect ratio of the image (determined by the digital camera itself). The origin (type of camera or film scan) is indicated in the description below the photograph. The actual pixel dimensions of the digital image file are also shown on the enlargement page for the photograph and generate the aspect ratio of the picture.

The following are printed image dimensions for each photograph type when selecting print size options. Each print is produced to order so there may be variations of 1-3 mm in these final dimensions.

Coolpix digital cameras

  • A4 paper small image : 100 x 70mm (3.9" x 2.8")
  • A4 paper medium image : 190 x 140mm (7.5" x 5.5")
  • A4 paper large image : 280 x 205mm (11" x 8")

  • A4 print dimensions for Coolpix images
  • A3+ paper : 405 x 305mm (16" x 12")

Digital SLR (Nikon D200 and D70) and scans from 35mm film

  • A4 paper small image : 100 x 65mm (3.9" x 2.6")
  • A4 paper medium image : 200 x 135mm (8" x 5.3")
  • A4 paper large image : 280 x 185mm (11" x 7.3")

  • A4 print dimensions for Digital SLR and transparency images
  • A3+ paper : 460 x 300mm (18.1x11.8")

None of the images offerred on this site is cropped. All images are in their original aspect ratios.

Custom sizes may be possible although aspect ratios should be maintained. Please send an email regarding your requirements : service@imageschangetheworld.com.

Prints on paper larger than A3+ can be made but this requires a custom effort and longer lead time, again please contact service@imageschangetheworld.com with your requirements.

Options : front of print

All prints are available titled and signed (in pencil). If you do not want either or both of these options please use the pulldown list to make the appropriate selection for the image in your cart. The title used for the photograph is that shown on this site.

Options : reverse of print

A custom rubber stamp (utilising dark blue ink) can be used to indicate the provenance of your print. Details of the image are entered in pencil inside the stamp area. Approximate dimensions of the stamp are 95 x 14mm

The stamp is always placed outside the area of the image. [ THE STAMP IS ON THE REVERSE OF THE PRINT! ] In the case of particularly large images this may mean that a stamp cannot be placed on your print. This is the case for the largest image on A4 paper when using a digital SLR (D200 or D70) or scanned film image or on an A3+ image from a Coolpix photograph.

Please indicate if you require a stamp on the reverse of the print using the appropriate pulldown when you add an image to your basket.
